This policy explains how the website of the Department of Information Systems and Technologies of Tashkent State University of Economics (the "Site") collects, uses and protects users' personal data. Data is processed in accordance with Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. ZRU-547 "On personal data" of 2 July 2019.

1. What data we collect

When you fill in a form on the Site, we receive only the data you enter yourself:

  • first and last name;
  • phone number, email address, Telegram username;
  • study group (for students), company name (for employers);
  • the text of your message, question, feedback or request;
  • a photo you optionally upload with feedback;
  • when you sign up — username and email (the password is stored only in hashed form).

2. Why we use it

  • to answer your requests and questions;
  • to give admission advice to applicants;
  • to assign thesis and research topics and handle student requests (certificates, reference letters, etc.);
  • to review and publish employers' internship and job offers;
  • with your consent — to send the news digest;
  • to publish approved feedback on the Site.

3. Legal basis

Data is processed on the basis of your consent, given with a checkbox in every form; a form cannot be sent without it.

4. Storage and security

Data is stored on the university's hosting and kept only as long as needed for the purpose, after which it is deleted. Only authorised department staff can access it. The Site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), password hashing, bot protection and request rate limits.

5. Disclosure to third parties

Personal data is not sold or disclosed to third parties, except where required by law. The contact email given in an employer's offer is, as the form warns, shown publicly in the listing.

6. Your rights

  • to be informed about the processing of your data and to access it;
  • to have inaccurate data corrected;
  • to have your data deleted;
  • to withdraw your consent at any time (you can leave the news digest via the link in every email).

7. Cookies

The Site uses only cookies required for it to work: session (signing in), CSRF protection and your chosen language. Accessibility settings are kept in your browser's storage. If the site owner has enabled web analytics (e.g. Yandex Metrica or Plausible), it collects aggregated visit statistics.

8. Contact

Send requests or complaints about your data through the Contact page. If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page.
